Minecraft Education: New Technology for the Classroom In Poland

Primary and secondary school students across Poland now have free access to Minecraft Education, an educational version of the popular video game. Minecraft Education allows students to learn through play, developing skills such as creativity, problem-solving, and systems thinking.

“The Minecraft game places particular emphasis on cooperation, project management, analytical thinking, going beyond the walls of the school and experience,” said Antoni Rytel, Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Education and Science for digital transformation.

Minecraft Education for a variety of subjects

Minecraft Education can be used to teach a variety of subjects, including Polish, English, history, biology, and physics. Students can use the game to create virtual environments to learn about different topics, such as recreating a historical event or building a model of the human body.

The Polish government is offering free training courses for teachers on how to use Minecraft Education in the classroom. 

Games are increasingly being used as educational aids, as students are more engaged in learning when they are having fun. Minecraft Education is a powerful tool that can be used to teach students a variety of skills and concepts in a creative and engaging way.
