eLearningworld News from UK
The first virtual reality experience from The Guardian is being launched. This is a new form of journalism where the audience actually can experience what people in the news have experienced. The first part is what it is like to spend 23 hours a day in a cell measuring 6×9 feet, which is the ordinary day for 100 000 prisoners in US solitary confinement prison cells. This is a story of the psychological damage that can ensue from isolation and the audience can experience it via an app on an iphone/ipad or Android-smartphone with the Google’s Cardboard viewer if you want to get the most out of your experience. You can turn 360 degrees in the cell with the Cardboard viewer or if you only have the smartphone you the device in all directions. Source: The Guardian
