Developing an entrepreneurial skill- and mindset is a key competence that supports social and economic well being, and is at the same time a required skill on todays and the future labour market. The European Commission that January 25 is arranging the first EU Education Summit ever with the aim to “laying the foundations of the European Education Area: for an innovative, inclusive and values based education”. Besides the opening statement by Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, about 70 keynote speakers from all over Europe will participate at the summit. At the same time, the EU Commission is promoting different forms of entrepreneurship education to become an integrated part of the school systems across Europe. This includes entrepreneurial challenges, developing ideas to a finished product or service, but also project-based pedagogy within all traditional subject-fields etc. Source: European Commission
