The first patent claimed by Google is a storytelling device where the focus of the patent is directed on “electronic output components, such as light sources, speakers, a video projector, or a display,” packaged as an interactive book. The second includes a media enhanced popup book that is a solution for books in mobile devices where the pages popup in front of the display when pages are turned and at the same time display associated media content. The Google patent states that “sensors and the electronic output components are integrated into the book itself, such as within physical pages of the interactive book.” This integration is something that the solutions with text and sound lacks today and this kind of integration is also the innovation in the second received patent. These integrated solutions are especially directed to children’s books. Source: Teleread
