On August 19, the first innovation district of Norway was
launched called Oslo Science City by Prime Minister Erna Solberg. Where the vision is that the area should be a melting pot for innovation, competence, research, and venture capital. The Prime Minister said the following at the opening:
“I say that knowledge is the key to new, green, smarter and more profitable workplaces. And to a better and more effective public sector. Knowledge is the solution on many things but should have elements in itself that are connected to risk, innovation and to create entrepreneurs in our society, Perhaps we in Norway have had it a little too secure and taken little too little risks.”
In this spirit, Oslo Science City should be a solution with a focus on cross-border research and innovation developed in the intersections of different research fields, technologies, and businesses. Click for more information
