Digital Maturity Model3eLearningworld News from Denmark

As the leader in the Nordic Countries in school digitization the Danish government and the Danish regions now has built a new strategy for the coming years. The minister for children, education and equality Ellen Trane Nørby explains: ”We are living in a digital world that is in continual development, and the pupils must be equipped to be able to progress in this reality. The pupils must be able to use IT to receive new knowledge and to solve problems. They must at the same time have a critical mindset to what they find on the internet, and know the consequences of the digital tracks they are leaving on the internet, when they e.g. share images of themselves or others. The digital competence is an important part in the educational mission.” The basic goal is then to help pupils to use and make progress in the digital world when it comes to learning, socially and ethically.
