Pune University is now launching a profound digitization of their classrooms as well as using eLearning content. The digital classrooms will include an interactive whiteboard, a digital podium, Android TV with a touchscreen and internet, document cameras to project live experiments and 3D diagrams. In this spirit the university has also produced more than 200 hours of eLearning content so far. Pune University was established in 1949 and houses 46 academic departments with approximately a half million students enrolled. It is popularly known as the ‘Oxford of the East’.
