Windows Store offers apps within most areas, but in one vital area it is surprisingly empty: eBooks. While Google Play and Apple Appstore are strong players within this field and compete with Amazon and Barnes Noble etc. Window’s still struggling with eBooks. However, its new approach that Windows 10 could be run in all devices gives promising prospects for eBooks. But with Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, Google Play, Kobo Books and Apple iBooks there is a long way to go even for Microsoft. On the other hand Windows 10 has only been around a couple of months and is already the OS of 110 million devices, which of course is an interesting market for any book-publisher.
