Federal and state governments want the next ten years to significantly improve the literacy skills of adults in Germany. Adults will receive more offers than before, which will help them improve writing and reqading skills. Totally the Federal Ministry of Education has 180 million euros to fund literacy projects and create course concepts and self-learning opportunities. For instance the Federal Ministry of Education will encourage the development of an app to refugees for learning German. Experience shows namely that refugees often use smart phones, which can also serve as a potential learning tool.
