The vocational high school is intended to be a stepping stone for the students to be able to enter the working life from day one after graduation with accurate skills and qualifications. In the rapidly changing world of the digital society, France is now launching a profound transformation of this form of education. Jean-Michel Blanquer, Minister of National Education, comments on the reform in the following way: “This involves the promotion of excellence and professional requirements, the transmission of advanced skills, the promotion of collaborative work, the consolidation of national diplomas, a more gradual orientation and enhanced support for students to get them further with their talents. (…) The transformation that will be undertaken will meet this ambition (…) thanks to a reinforced complementarity between learning and school path. It also passes through more personalized courses.” Source: Ministère de l’Éducation nationale
